Nadine Byrne and PSST
Our first concert in 2019 will be a concert by Nadine Byrne and PSST (Stefan Tcherepnin and Paul Sigerhall).
Nadine Byrne is an artist and composer based in Stockholm. Her interdisciplinary artistic practice spans across sound, sculpture, performance, text and film. She often explores themes of dreams, memory and loss originating in her own personal history. Her practice is also informed by her fascination towards visual and social manifestations of alternative constructions of reality. Her latest album, Dreaming Remembering, was released in May 2018 on IDEAL Recordings.
Stefan Tcherepnin (b. Boston, 1977) lives and works in Brooklyn. Recent solo exhibitions include: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2018); Städtische Galerie Delmenhorst (2017); Francesca Pia, Zürich (2016); Freedman Fitzpatrick, Los Angeles (2015); Hinsnoret, Sweden (2015); What Pipeline, Detroit (2015). Recent group exhibitions include: Ludlow 38, New York (2017); Greene Naftali, New York (2017); Halle für Kunst, Lüneberg (2016); Tbisilis 16, Tbisilis, Georgia (2016); Berlin Biennale (2016); Künstlerhaus Bremen (2016); and Kunsthaus Glarus (2016). He was awarded the 2008 NYFA fellowship in Music Composition. His work is in the collections of the FRAC Aquitaine, the Syz Collection, Geneva, among others.
Paul Sigerhall is a drummer based in Stockholm. Former member of experimental Swedish rock collective Audionom.
