Jolly building blocks wants to dance with you! Däncing düplös is a play on sound and image, and explores the animation technique phonotrope. Using this technique, the images are placed in a circle on a piece of paper, and rotated by a record player. When the record spins, and the camera shoots – the images becomes animated.
The film is exhibited at Kunsthall Stavanger as part of the project Video Art for Kids.
Kristian Pedersen (1980) is a designer and animator. He works at the animation studio Mikrofilm in Oslo and works with his own shorts, commissioned films and often lectures about film making.
Christoffer Schou (1975) is a musician and producer. He is the founder of the pop group Remington Super 60, and is a composer of music for both film and TV.
