Kristina Ketola Bore Joins Kunsthall Stavanger
We are happy to announce that Kristina Ketola Bore will join us as Assistant Curator on March 1. Kristina has already worked with us as a guest curator with her ongoing project Mobilizing Citizenship, and we are very excited to be working with her in a full time capacity.
Kristina is a writer, curator and educator from Stavanger who is currently based in Oslo, Norway. She holds an MA in Design Writing Criticism from the University of the Arts London and is a co-founder of the platform The Ventriloquist Summerschool, as well as a subeditor for the art journal Periskop. Her work investigates social structures within and outside of the arts, in addition to participation and the role intersectionality and feminisms can play in the field. These perspectives are also deployed in the act of curation, which has resulted in series of educational artistic programming for both youth and adults.
She has lectured internationally at cultural institutions and universities, such as Trondheim Kunsthall, Pioneer Works, Estonian Academy of Arts, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Beckmans College of Design and Aalto University, and written on subjects concerning education, social practice, voice and artistic responsibility. For the past year Kristina has also been engaged as a guest curator at Kunsthall Stavanger for the project Mobilizing Citizenship, giving future adults the opportunity to work with professional designers and artists, learning methods to speak up and out.
