An Object at Rest by Seth Boyden follows the life of a stone as it travels over the course of millennia, facing nature's greatest obstacle: human civilization.
Boyden says of the film: "The original idea for the movie came from a visit I had back where I grew up in Indiana. My dad and I were walking down a country road paved with gravel stones. We were talking about how millions of years ago these stones that made up the road were fossilized pieces of an ocean seafloor millions of years ago. I imagined creating a film about a character that sees life on earth from a completely different perspective than we do, which I think is sort of the heart of the movie's concept".
Seth Boyden is an animation filmmaker from the United States. He studied Character Animation program at California Institute of the Arts and storyboarding as an intern for 20th Century FOX and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
