We invite our members to a preview of our autumn exhibition Tender Endings* by Anette Gellein. There will be a short introduction to the exhibition from the curator and an opportunity to meet the artist.

The exhibition marks the first major institutional solo exhibition by Stavanger-based artist Anette Gellein. Working across film, performance, drawing and installation, Gellein creates worlds where desire, power, and violence become inseparable. Spanning all five galleries, the exhibition brings together the artist's recent film trilogy: Love and Greed and Pain and Lust (2023), Dyke Dreams (2024), and the premiere of Annus Horribilis (2026) which was filmed at recognisable historic sites in Stavanger.

The exhibition is accompanied by the first major publication dedicated to Gellein's work, co-published with Mousse Publishing and featuring contributions by Kunsthall Stavanger Director Joseph Constable and Curator Heather Jones, alongside essays by Amelia Groom, Lola Olufemi, and Mike Sperlinger. Members will have an early opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book.

Welcome!
