Kunsthall Stavanger is proud to work with Swedish artist Lars Hedelin for this installment of our Video Art for Kids program, titled Småfåglar i Samtidskonsten (Small Birds in Contemporary Art), 2007. In the artist's own words, this work is a very simple, "short film about birds." In his animations, Hedelin often brings lush, natural settings and characters into the often sterile environment of the art institution, an idea further alluded to in the title of the artwork.

Lars Hedelin is an artist and animator based in Värmdö, Sweden. He studied at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts from 2005-2008, and graduated from Konstfack University of Art and Design in 2001.
