On March 17 the children from the Art Club will work with musician and oud soloist Khaled Habeeb.
During the Spring semester 2024 we ask: How can we connect with the natural environment? How can we build a relationship with the natural environment? If we listen very well, what does our environment sound like, smell like, feel like? The environment can be your garden, the birds in the trees, the forest near the school, the city where you live or the whole world. This semester we will use all of our senses to explore our environment in new ways.
ABOUT THE ART CLUB
The Art Club introduces children to contemporary art in a fun and accessible way. Here, we explore what contemporary art is, and what kind of experiences and tools we can bring from art into our everyday lives.
The children will meet and work with professional artists, and get to explore our exhibitions together with our skilled educators. At the end of each semester we organise an exhibition for family and friends.
Khaled Habeeb is an oud soloist who has been guest musician with both TSO and SSO, and has performed at many festivals around Norway. He has been involved in a number of projects, including with the Rennesøy School Choir and the Trallbarnas songbook app.
