This autumn, Kunsthall Stavanger has welcomed school classes to a workshop with a focus on care, social structure and digital culture.
In the workshop, the students have been introduced to the fictional place Stavalandia, set in the year 2222, where people have mysteriously disappeared. The workshops have taken as their starting points methods from gaming and the artistic tools of 'reimagining'. The mission for the classes has been to help rebuild this imaginary society, and in extension of that, the classes have created an avatar that will help Stavalandia flourish once again. Below you can find photos of the avatars.
The results from the workshops are now available on Kunsthall Stavanger's website, so that students from the entire region can communicate together what they think is important in a society.
During the workshops, the students also discussed what is needed to create good meeting places and communities. School classes from the entire region have participated.
